Charing Cross Carpet Cleaners Terms and Conditions

Carpet cleaning appointment and service booking preparationThese Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Charing Cross Carpet Cleaners provides domestic and commercial cleaning services in the UK. By making a booking, the customer agrees to be bound by the terms below. These conditions are intended to be fair, clear, and consistent with applicable UK consumer law. For the purposes of this document, references to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean the carpet cleaning service provider, and references to “you” or “the customer” mean the person requesting the service.

The scope of service may include carpet cleaning, rug cleaning, upholstery cleaning, stain treatment, deodorising, and related carpet cleaning services agreed at the time of booking. All services are provided subject to inspection, suitability of materials, access conditions, and reasonable safety requirements. We reserve the right to decline or amend work where the requested service is unsuitable for the item, the environment, or the method requested. These terms apply to every booking unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Professional carpet cleaning consultation and quotation reviewThe customer is responsible for ensuring that all information given at the time of booking is accurate and complete. This includes room sizes, item descriptions, material type, special stains, access restrictions, parking limitations, water supply availability, and any known issues with the property or items to be cleaned. Where inaccurate information is provided, the final price, scope, and completion time may need to change. If the work becomes materially different from what was originally described, we may revise the quotation or decline the job if it cannot be safely completed.

Bookings for Charing Cross carpet cleaners may be made by phone, email, online form, or other approved method. A booking is not confirmed until we have accepted the request and, where required, received any deposit or pre-authorisation. A quote may be based on the information provided by the customer, but it remains an estimate until the service has been assessed on site. Any verbal quotation is given in good faith and may be adjusted if the actual conditions differ from those described.

We may request photographs, item details, or additional information before confirming the appointment. This helps us determine the most suitable cleaning method, estimate timing, and identify any risks. If a booking is made for multiple areas or items, each item may be assessed separately. We are not obliged to provide service if the property is unsafe, inaccessible, excessively cluttered, or if suitable conditions for work are not available. The customer should ensure the area is ready before the arrival time.

All cleaning works are subject to availability and may be scheduled within the time slot agreed at booking. While we aim to arrive on time, arrival times are approximate and may be affected by traffic, weather, prior jobs, equipment issues, or other factors beyond our control. If we are delayed, we will make reasonable efforts to notify the customer and offer a revised arrival time. Delays alone do not automatically entitle the customer to compensation unless required by law or expressly agreed in writing.

Payments are due as stated in the quotation, invoice, or booking confirmation. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is required on completion of the service or in advance for certain bookings. We may accept bank transfer, card payment, cash, or other agreed methods. Any deposit requested at the time of booking is normally non-refundable except where required by law or where we cancel the booking without cause. Prices are normally stated inclusive of the relevant tax position, if applicable, unless specifically stated otherwise.

Carpet cleaning payment and invoicing arrangementIf the job changes after arrival because additional rooms, stains, treatments, or items are added, we may amend the price before proceeding. Where extra work is agreed, it will be charged at the rate communicated at the time of amendment. The customer must pay all undisputed charges in full. If payment is not made when due, we reserve the right to charge reasonable recovery costs and any interest permitted under UK law for late payment in business-to-business cases, where applicable.

For carpet cleaners in Charing Cross and elsewhere in the UK, promotional offers, discounts, and vouchers are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. Unless expressly stated, offers cannot be combined. Prices may differ according to the size of the area, the level of soiling, the type of fibre, access conditions, and the cleaning method required. Any written estimate is valid for the period stated on the quotation, or if no period is stated, for a reasonable period only. We may correct obvious pricing errors.

Cancellations and rescheduling must be made with reasonable notice. If you cancel or rearrange more than 24 hours before the appointment, no cancellation charge will usually apply, unless a special order, reserved equipment, or other pre-arranged cost has already been incurred. If you cancel with less notice, or fail to provide access when we arrive, we may charge a late cancellation fee or call-out charge to cover lost time and travel. Any such charge will be fair and proportionate to our actual loss.

We may cancel or suspend a booking where the property is unsafe, the customer is abusive, payment terms are not accepted, or conditions prevent us from working safely and lawfully. We may also refuse to proceed if we discover items that are unsuitable for cleaning, such as fragile materials, water-sensitive surfaces, or contents that could be damaged by the chosen method. In those circumstances, we will explain the reason and, where possible, offer an alternative approach or revised schedule.

If the customer is not present and access has not been arranged, or if keys, parking permissions, or entry instructions are not available, we may treat the booking as cancelled by the customer. Repeated changes or late cancellations may result in future bookings being accepted only with advance payment. For customers acting in a business capacity, any cancellation charges or unpaid balances may be pursued as a contractual debt. Nothing in these terms affects statutory rights where a consumer has a lawful right to cancel.

Liability is limited to the extent permitted by UK law. We will use reasonable care and skill in performing all services. However, cleaning fabrics, fibres, dyes, and finishes may sometimes produce variable results, especially where there is pre-existing wear, hidden damage, colour instability, permanent staining, or manufacturer restrictions. We cannot guarantee the removal of all stains, odours, marks, or contamination. Some items may improve significantly without being restored to a “like new” condition.

We are not liable for damage arising from pre-existing defects, age-related deterioration, unsuitable materials, poor previous repairs, faulty installation, or information that the customer failed to disclose. The customer should tell us about fragile seams, loose fit, special coatings, underlay problems, colour bleeding risks, pet contamination, mould, or any prior treatment by another company. If the customer asks us to proceed against our recommendation, this is at the customer’s risk. We may refuse any instruction that would, in our opinion, create an unreasonable risk of harm.

Where loss or damage is caused by our negligence, our liability will be limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the affected item, or the amount reasonably necessary to place the customer in the position they would have been in had reasonable care been exercised, subject to any applicable legal limits. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other matter that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms reduces your statutory consumer rights.

Cleaning team managing waste and site safety proceduresWe may move lightweight furniture where it is safe to do so, but we are not responsible for moving heavy, fixed, fragile, valuable, or dangerous items unless this has been agreed in advance. Any item moved by us may already have marks, hidden wear, or structural weakness. The customer should remove personal possessions, valuables, breakables, and electrical items from the working area before we begin. We are not responsible for loss or damage to items left in or near the treated area unless caused by our negligence.

Waste regulations and environmental responsibilities form part of our service standards. We will dispose of waste lawfully and in accordance with applicable UK requirements. This includes compliance with relevant rules on wastewater, contaminated materials, packaging, and any waste produced during the service. We do not knowingly dispose of hazardous materials, asbestos, sharp objects, needles, or illegal substances. Where we encounter such items, we may stop work and require the customer to arrange suitable removal through the proper channels.

Soiled water, filters, pads, and other cleaning residues may need to be managed responsibly. The customer is responsible for providing safe drainage or disposal arrangements where required, and for informing us of any restrictions that apply at the property. If local building rules or site policies limit disposal methods, the customer must notify us in advance. We may decline to use certain chemicals or methods if doing so would conflict with environmental, health, or legal obligations. Any extra costs arising from unusual waste handling may be charged to the customer if agreed beforehand.

All services are provided subject to reasonable access, electricity, lighting, ventilation, and water supply where required. If any of these essentials are unavailable or inadequate, we may be unable to complete the work or may need to alter the method used. Drying times are approximate and can vary based on fibre type, ventilation, humidity, temperature, soiling, and weather. We are not liable for inconvenience caused by normal drying variation, provided we have used the agreed and appropriate process.

Before and after photographs may be taken for internal quality control, job records, and dispute handling. Any such images will be handled appropriately and in line with applicable data protection obligations where personal data is involved. We will not use customer images for marketing without permission where consent is required. The customer agrees that reasonable records may be kept to document condition, scope, and completion of the service. Such records may be retained for legitimate business purposes.

The customer must ensure that any pets are secured, children are supervised, and the work area is safe for attendance. We may pause or stop work if conditions become unsafe or if the customer’s conduct makes completion unreasonable. If work is interrupted because of hazards, aggression, or lack of cooperation, we may charge for time already spent and any unavoidable costs. We may also suspend future services where necessary to protect staff, property, or equipment.

Final service terms review for carpet cleaning customersComplaints should be raised as soon as reasonably possible after the service so that we can review the issue promptly. If a concern relates to appearance, staining, or an area that may have been missed, the customer should allow us a reasonable opportunity to inspect the matter. Any remedial visit will be arranged at our discretion where appropriate and lawful. A complaint does not remove the customer’s duty to pay any undisputed sum that is properly due under the booking.

These terms may be updated from time to time to reflect legal, operational, or commercial changes. The version in force at the time of booking will normally apply to that booking unless a change is required by law. If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of the terms will continue in effect. No failure or delay by us in enforcing a term will operate as a waiver of that term.

Governing law and jurisdiction: these Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising from them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives the customer the right to bring proceedings elsewhere in the UK. If the customer resides in Scotland or Northern Ireland, any mandatory rights under local consumer law will remain unaffected. These Terms and Conditions are intended to operate in a lawful, fair, and commercially reasonable manner for all standard Charing Cross carpet cleaning bookings.
